Poor Beacon. After 15 hard years at Ibutron Technologies he has been given the boot and he didn't even see it coming. In fact, when he was rolled out of his cubicle on that rainy Tuesday afternoon he thought he was finally getting the promotion he deserved, a spot in upper management! After all, he is one of their most experienced employees, hardworking, sturdy, reliable, in great shape given his age, and always well-dressed in royal blue. But no, instead he was tossed out the back, without any explanation. Rumour has it, he was replaced by a new-hire, one of those young, fresh-from-the-factory, ergonomic chairs, with features nobody at Ibutron will ever bother to use anyway. How was Beacon to compete?
